Rosberg and Hamilton played a pivotal role in giving Max Verstappen his first win in F1. But with that accident, Rosberg missed out on his 8th consecutive win in F1.
Now that Verstappen is looking to get his 8th consecutive win in Spa, Rosberg has jokingly brought back the 2016 Spanish GP to rub salt in Hamiton’s wounds. “Yeah, that was quite cool,” he said. “I would have had eight if Lewis hadn’t have shunted me off in Barcelona, for those of you who remember that race in 2016.” But Rosberg made sure that he lets the audience know that he was joking. “I’m laughing by the way for those of you who can’t see me now because that was a joke.”
