“Michael Schumacher hit David Coulthard!….. Look at him. Look at him. He is going to have it out with David Coulthard!” The 1998 Belgian GP had all kinds of drama and the headline was Michael Schumacher‘s collision with David Coulthard. Ever since then, Coulthard may not have forgotten the demons of a Schumacher storming at him. Perhaps the countless number of times the German driver beat him on track is also a psychological barrier in David’s mind. Well, the 2023 ROC Sweden has somehow triggered these demons again! A Schumacher beating DC, but this time it was Michael’s son Mick Schumacher.
Coulthard was representing Britain at the 2023 Race of Champions. Meanwhile, Mick was representing Germany at the snowy tracks in Sweden last weekend. David faced Schumacher in a duel race for the Champions Cup. But he lost to the former Haas driver as Mick progressed further in the competition.
On this, Coulthard expressed his witty self on his Instagram. According to his latest Instagram post, he put out a video of his race duel with Schumacher. Now, the caption of this post has left the F1 world in splits. The caption read, “After all these years & I’m still getting beaten by a Schumacher…”

Fans have a sharp memory to recall such crazy moments from the F1 history whenever needed. Apparently, it is great that Coulthard has initiated this banter from his side. These recalls also give a nice nostalgic flavor to a classic tussle of F1 between Schumacher and Coulthard from the 90s.
Mick also may have enjoyed completing a father-son full-circle moment with his top performance at ROC Sweden 2023. The Jr. Schumacher reached the finals of the Champions Cup but fell short against Mattias Ekström to be runner-up.

Is it wicked of me to say I took great pleasure seeing David Coulthard have his arse handed to him by Mick Schumacher? Serves him right for the consistent ridicule & belittling he subjects others to in his #F1 commentary. He had a face like he was chewing a wasp 😂 #ROCSweden pic.twitter.com/givsWHKohj
