We are all aware of Andretti Global’s relentless efforts of fielding the 11th team on the grid. However, we are also aware of the pushback the American motorsport company is facing from the F1 fraternity. Although, the Americans are ready to jump the $200 million hurdle and are ready to field their F1 team.
We got a sense of this new development following the comments made on the announcement of Andretti Global’s new facility. The Americans broke ground with a $200 million and 575,000 square feet facility. This massive facility will not only house the IndyCar team but potentially also the Formula 1 team in the future.

Speaking to the media, Dan Towriss, the CEO of Group 1001, projected confidence toward Andretti Global’s future projects. Group 1001 owns Gainbridge, a major sponsor of Andretti Global. So the CEO spoke about the expansion with a personal stake in Andretti’s growth.
Speaking on the groundbreaking ceremony, he said, “Our confidence and determination in everything we’re trying to build here. We’re confident in the plans and what this means for our future. These plans run much deeper than a facility, and those are the plans we want them to see.”
This sponsorship from Gainbridge will help the Andretti’s achieve their F1 goal and climb the $200 million hurdle to field the 11th team. Which is the only way forward, according to Michael Andretti.

Michael Andretti denies talks with Red Bull for a potential route into F1
