Being the only millennium-born driver to win a race isn’t easy! Oscar Piastri has been super busy lately. Ever since his Hungarian GP win, the 23-year-old hasn’t had a moment of peace. One interview after the other has kept him engaged. So much so that the Aussie didn’t even get some ‘me time’ to celebrate his achievement. And with the Belgian GP coming up, he would not have much time to enjoy his win. He has to now wait for the summer break for a proper celebration.

Meanwhile, taking out some time away from his daily activities, Piastri turned up in Monaco to meet his sweetheart, Lily Zneimer. And it seems the couple is having a good respite far from the goings-on of life. Speaking on national television after his great victory in Budapest, the 23-year-old revealed what he was doing away from the public eye.

Given the popularity of motorsport (precisely F1), the lives of F1 drivers and their partners aren’t completely private. They have paparazzi following them everywhere! However, Lily Zneimer has successfully kept her personal life private, kudos to her. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri shared that he was, or maybe is, in Monaco. The McLaren star said: “I came back to my girlfriend here in Monaco, I just enjoyed spending the time with her. And just kind of reflecting back on the last 24 hours.” Piastri still seems to be in his dreamland. Now who’s going to tell the Melbourne-born that he actually won the Hungarian GP?

Lily has always supported Piastri in his racing career. While she was scoring perfect marks in high school, Oscar was out on racing tracks, setting the fastest lap times. However, his continuous absence from the classroom was never an issue in their love. Moreover, Zneimer isn’t completely away from the paddock. She has been spotted in various races, rooting for her beau.

But one special factor that sets her apart is her tendency to keep Oscar Piastri grounded. Piastri credits Zneimer with encouraging him to stay down to earth amongst the newly found fame he’s achieved in Formula 1. This ‘grounding’ involves performing ‘normal’ activities like playing video games, cooking at home, and more. Those who have observed Piastri understand how minimalistic he can be at times. And maybe the credit does go to Lily for keeping him exceptionally humble.
