The Australian driver, who seems to be obsessed with the Texas culture, donned the Cowboy look and arrived at the paddock in style with a horse that has arguably risen to the Horsey McHorseface sensation.

However, his liking for the horses, ranch, and cowboy thing started long back. Things date back to 2016 when Ricciardo was with Red Bull. He arrived in the country and took over to take care of the Nelson Ranch in La Grange, 100 miles South East of Austin.

Ricciardo, who learned how to rake and bale hay, also lassoed a cow. Moreover, the man from Land Down Under has also driven a 4500hp tractor-puller. As the sun set in Texas, Ricciardo sat down with the ranch hands for a Texan BBQ after a hard day on the fields.

Ricciardo has decided to arrive at the paddock on a horse! Accompanied by his musician friend Rob Baird, the McLaren driver rode in a horse named Blue, otherwise nicknamed Horsey McHorseface. This has left everyone getting hyped up on a rather slow Thursday.

Talking to Sky Sports F1, Ricciardo shared, “[We thought] it will bring a little bit of extra atmosphere into the paddock. As we know, Thursdays are kind of quiet. So it was cool. Really nice to do it. I mean, I was a little embarrassed at first, but I was like ‘you know what, just have some fun’.”
