For weeks now the streets of Formula 1 tracks are swarming with celebrities from across the globe. This extremely common scenario gives the fans plenty to talk about, especially after the pre-race grid walk. The grid walk gives a unique and often hilarious look at the world from the perspective of a veteran commentator. The same veteran commentator who has a relatively anonymous status for the rest of the world. This is exactly why sometimes the encounters come off as rude and Brad Pitt has faced the brunt of that. However, after the latest race in Barcelona, we are finally seeing the respect our beloved commentator deserves from legendary actor Michael Douglas.

Brad Pitt caused quite a stir after he was caught on camera snubbing Martin Brundle on the US GP grid walk last year. He redeemed himself with an apology for this act after the fans rallied for the British commentator. However, as seen in ESPN’s latest tweet, Brundle finally received the respect he deserves from Michael Douglas.

Brundle tweeted, “Got a note from Brad Pitt explaining what happened with our near miss on the Austin grid. Unnecessary, but nice of him. Absolutely nobody is obliged to talk to me on the grid, but as I endeavor to make 10/12 minutes of live and unscripted sports TV I’m obliged to at least ask.”
