Both racers enjoyed the fan interaction before the upcoming Qualifying. Speaking at the event, Russell even made a cheeky remark about the 39-year-old dating Spanish girls, bringing back memories of his Shakira fling.

In 2022, Colombian star Shakira had a very public breakup with longtime boyfriend Gerard Pique. The Spanish-speaking songstress then turned up at various Grand Prix where Lewis Hamilton was present. This led to the media houses suggesting that the two had been seeing each other. Moreover, after last year’s Miami GP, photos of Lewis holding Shakira by the waist on a dinner date went viral. But the pair broke up sometime later.

The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer was never again spotted at any other event with the Mercedes racer. However, George Russell may have restarted conversations with Shakira with his cheeky jibe at his teammate. At the Merc event, Russell claimed he knew all about Spanish foods. Then, he revealed that his girlfriend was actually born in Spain, with Lewis Hamilton confessing his lack of idea about the country’s cuisine because he’s never a Spaniard. To this, Russell joked, “You don’t have a Spanish girlfriend. You have Spanish girlfriends.”

Perhaps the 26-year-old posed this comment to indicate Hamilton’s appeal to his numerous female fans who gathered to watch him at the Mercedes-Benz Spanish GP event.

Lewis Hamilton’s latest rumor fling hails from Brazil

While he claimed the 39-year-old is busy dating several ‘Spanish girlfriends’, the Briton has recently been linked to a 25-year-old Brazilian model, Juliana Nalu. The Rio de Janeiro native spent the 2023 Christmas with Hamilton, and she has even made some appearances at his race.

However, Nalu, who formerly dated rapper Kanye West, has not visited any of Lewis’ races in the current season. This has led to speculations on whether the two split up. As the Mercedes racer also had a breakup with Shakira last year, it can be said that 2023 was not very promising for his personal life. Speaking of Lewis Hamilton’s relationships, there is no recent news on whom the Briton is dating right now. During the break between the Canadian GP and his outing in Spain, he spent time in the US with his dog Roscoe. Now that the soon-to-be Ferrari racer is back on the race track, he has to score well to destroy some speculations that have recently flourished.

The rumors started with an anonymous tip-off from an insider at the Silver Arrows factory, claiming that Toto Wolff is offended to find his star driver leaving his team next season.
