Angela Cullen is a name that Lewis Hamilton fans are well aware of. The physiotherapist of the 7x champion was often seen around the paddocks with Hamilton. Over the 7 years that they worked together, they got close and became each other’s confidantes. Sadly, last year, she parted ways with Hamilton, leaving a void in his paddock experience.

Not only did she help Lewis Hamilton get over some painful accidents, but she was always there to motivate him around the paddocks. From giving moral support to helping him prepare for races, she did it all and now, it must be getting lonely, as he has no one to confide in. However, at the Spanish Grand Prix, a new bond was being strengthened as Hamilton was found radiating with energy as he got a hug from a teammate while celebrating his podium.

Enter Rosa Herrero Venegas, the Senior Public Relations Manager for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. She has been with the team for 9 years; however, she has only recently come to light. Starting her career as a media relations officer, in March 2022, she got promoted to her current seat. Although she is a seasoned Mercedes employee, it’s only recently that we have seen her around Lewis Hamilton.

After the Spanish Grand Prix podium finish, Lewis Hamilton receives a heartfelt hug from Venegas while strolling down the paddock. This cute moment shows that Lewis Hamilton has made a new friend for paddock talk. The duo was also spotted together before the driver’s parade, as Hamilton looked in high spirits. Although Venegas will not be able to help the 7x champion with his injuries, she looks great at keeping the Briton in elevated moods.

While we wait to see how this friendship takes form in the public eye, we understand that Venegas will never be a replacement for Angela Cullen. The friendship that Lewis Hamilton shared with his former physiotherapist was one of the most well-known chemistries around the paddocks. Although Cullen is no longer with Hamilton, they remain friends for what can be called the 8th year of them knowing each other through Mercedes.

Although Cullen is no longer with Mercedes, she was recently working with another motorsport star. Here is what Lewis Hamilton had to say about that.

After taking a sabbatical from F1, Angela Cullen decided that she would like to get back into working with a motorsport athlete. Marcus Armstrong, the IndyCar driver, has called on Cullen for her physio expertise. The former Ferrari academy driver was seen alongside Cullen at many races, and Lewis Hamilton commented on her return to sports.

According to SI, Lewis Hamilton spoke about Cullen and called her a healer. The Mercedes driver further explained, “She’s a positive person. Her purpose is to bring love to everyone that she meets, and what she does. She’s passionate about sports.” Hamilton went on to say kind words about his friend, who has made a new career choice. He has been supportive of her new role, and despite not working together, the two will remain close friends.

He concluded his message by saying, “We’re stuck with each other, unfortunately, or fortunately! We’ve been through thick and thin. I am grateful our relationship is as good as it is. We’ve probably had one of the longest relationships, I would say, in the sport.”

Now that Rosa Herrero Venegas has been complaining about Hamilton around the paddocks, Cullen’s presence might not be missed all that much. That being said, do you think Angela Cullen would ever make it back to F1 for Hamilton? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
