There have been many drivers competing in Formula 1 over the course of the sport’s seventy-year history, all hoping to make a name for themselves. While the sport received some of the best drivers as the generations passed, it appears that nobody will be able to match Max Verstappen‘s driving prowess in the near future. The Dutchman’s racing style does remind many of us of the legendary and lethal driver Ayrton Senna. And after recently breaking his record, the Dutchman has now won the race in the Austrian GP in a never-before-seen style of Flex. What specifically did the 25-year-old at the home of Red Bull’s backyard?
For us, Max Verstappen is the driver who maintained his miraculous capacity to remain calm under pressure even while others repeatedly make mistakes. The surprise Flex he pulled off today, though, really got the spectators’ attention. Verstappen while enjoying a comfortable lead of over 20 seconds over second-placed Charles Leclerc, decided to pit and acquire the soft compounds despite the team’s order to continue the race for two more laps.
This might have been the biggest flex of the season so far from Max 🥶

Lewis never took this much risk and used to do it when he was over a minute ahead. What Max did today was special.
