Lando Norris is arguably the most enviable man on the Formula 1 grid right now. The 23-year-old McLaren star is living his dream. He travels around the world, drives the most exotic cars on the globe, and his day job is being a Formula 1 driver. Currently, he is one of the hottest properties within the F1 driver pool, and his stock has only been on the rise. Naturally, he’s had some pretty fantastic memories he’s built over the last 5 years since his debut at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix. And Norris is very keen on preserving them!

Being one of the most rated and sought-after F1 stars has its own perks. And these perks also mean Norris can have whatever he wants. The price tag just doesn’t matter. However, the Brit revels in and finds happiness in the most mundane of things. After all, irrespective of the fame, he is still true to himself.

One such activity, or rather a hobby that Norris finds joy in, is photography. His love for photography was instilled in him by his father. But an arduous rise to the top mean that he had lost touch with his favorite pastime. That was until the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix.

In a feature for the Strategist magazine, Norris revealed, “Ash, my photographer and videographer, got me into buying this Leica while I was in Singapore for the Grand Prix. It’s a beautiful camera. I don’t know what the magic is, but the color of the images comes out so clean.”

“I’ve played around with a few other cameras but nothing matches the enjoyment I get from this one. I photograph for memories more than anything, I take photos at friends’ birthday parties, special occasions, going out, and traveling. When we went to the desert in Dubai, I took a bunch of pictures and they’re just nice to look back on.”

Norris’ prized possession is a 47.3MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor camera with Maestro II Image Processor, Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens, 3.68MP OLED Electronic Viewfinder and costs around $5,795. Not only is Norris passionate about the art, but he is also hell-bent on sharing his love of photography with everyone!

Lando Norris paves the way back for Daniel Ricciardo through his passion for photography

Daniel Ricciardo has undoubtedly struggled over the past few years with McLaren. On more than one occasion, he has been very candid and outspoken about the toll his disastrous spell with the Woking-based team took on his mental health. So much so that the Honey Badger had completely vanished from the colloquial social media grid.

But he was coaxed back into it to the joy of the fans. The credit for this seemingly goes to his ex-teammate Norris, who might’ve had a hand to play in this. Earlier, after being inspired by Norris’ Instagram project ‘Lando.jpg‘, Ricciardo had started his own page ‘Daniel.jpg‘.

The whole concept is about sharing photographs clicked by the men themselves. And Ricciardo’s hiatus was finally broken once again through this.
