For the first time since Aston Martin announced their re-entry to Formula 1, the team’s part-owner, Lawrence Stroll, expressed his excitement about the new era. The team will possess a world champion in their line-up for the first time – Sebastian Vettel.
However, the German eventually fell into a trough of controversial claims. People felt that he had lost his competitiveness and has nothing to offer for the rising mid-field team, with his terrible final outing with Ferrari being a primary reason.
It looks like Vettel is getting massive backing from Stroll, as the Canadian sounded optimistic about the potential contribution Vettel could make for Aston Martin.

Stroll points out Vettel’s positives
According to BBC, Stroll acknowledged Vettel’s struggles during his latter period in Ferrari. However, he is confident that the four-time world champion will find his groove soon.
“He’s a four-time world champion. I don’t think he forgot how to drive in one year. He has a work ethic that is known as second to none in the paddock in terms of how hard he works,” the Canadian said.
Stroll felt that Vettel losing his seat at Ferrari even before the season had begun may have destroyed him mentally. Consequently, his performances took a significant hit.
