“Kick in the gut” is how Lewis Hamilton described the Mercedes beneath him during free practice. It is a little difficult to believe that the man who began P13 is the same one who is the most successful Formula 1 driver on U.S. soil. He is a six-time Grand Prix winner and this time all throughout the weekend, he struggled with the car and botched up strategy added to his miseries. Seeing the sorry state of affairs, the LH Army has now taken up arms.

The strategy blunders which used to be a Ferrari forte have probably spilled over to Brackely as a late release of the Briton during the Q2 stint saw him bow out of the qualifying. And today the race strategy which was different from that of his teammate saw him being overtaken by George Russell.

Lewis Hamilton’s race engineer Pete Bonnington summed up the 7x champion’s race as “nice work” and highlighted Hamilton’s good battle to the front as he finished P6. Then came the TP Toto Wolff who stated, “Lewis, strategy worked against us but you still made it to P6. Great race, really. The maximum you could probably have achieved from that strategy.” These sorry radio messages race after race have now made the fans impatient.

Fans are unhappy with the “blatant sabotage” of Lewis Hamilton’s race

A very disappointed Lewis Hamilton had said that he’ll try to fight through the field to God knows where and we feel the patience running thin. The man who is full of positive words is probably now running out of patience and so are his fans. F1 Twitter blasts Toto Wolff.
