After a soothing summer vacation following weekend at Hungaroring, F1 drivers are back in business ahead of the approaching Belgian GP. And many drivers including Lando Norris and his former McLaren teammate, Carlos Sainz, updated their return to the factory.
The moment F1 signed off the 2021 season’s first half with the Hungarian Grand Prix, a lot of drivers headed to different countries to enjoy their vacations.
Three of the drivers, Nicholas Latifi, Charles Leclerc, and George Russell, traveled to Greece, while Sainz spent most of his time in the open waters with his yacht. On the other hand, title contender, Max Verstappen, was holidaying with Kelly Piquet at St. Maarten.

Norris, Sainz & Alonso return to work ahead of Belgian GP
After a disappointing end to the Hungarian GP, Norris enjoyed his holidays, boating on a yacht. And now, with the race weekend inching closer, the Briton updated himself of being at the McLaren Technology Centre. He further wrote, “Back to it“.
Meanwhile, Ferrari tweeted an image of their Maranello headquarters, quoting “Happy Monday #Tifosi. Our break is over. Time to get back to it ahead of this week’s #BelgianGP.”

Sainz shared the tweet and further responded, “See you tomorrow then“.
2-time world champion kept his love for cycling intact throughout the summer break. And after a 4-week layoff, heading into race week, Alonso updated himself running on a rather isolated road, prepping up for the upcoming Grand Prix.
Also, both the Haas F1 drivers posted on social media over the upcoming race at Spa.
Ocon and Leclerc react to their F1 memories at Spa
Charles Leclerc holds an emotional connection with Spa, having endured a rollercoaster Belgian GP in 2019. The Monegasque had lost his friend on the very same track on Saturday.
But, that did not stop Leclerc from racing to his first F1 win on the following day. The race also carried Leclerc into the record books, as the Ferrari driver became the 3rd youngest race winner in F1 history. Cherishing the moment, Leclerc shared Ferrari’s post on Instagram.
The same Leclerc also posted an image of himself in the Red suit on social media. He wrote, “Break over and back to business.”
Similarly, Esteban Ocon shared his memory of racing at Spa, back in 2018. The race start witnessed four drivers, Ocon himself, his teammate, Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton, and Vettel, racing each other for the lead along the Kemmel straight.

F1 used the very same image to announce the end of summer break on social media. Subsequently, Ocon shared the post on Instagram, reacting, “Spaaaa“.
Overall, the drivers are looking pumped up in re-starting the 2021 season after a brief haul. Hence, will the opening race at Spa prove to keep the adrenaline running amongst the fans after a stellar show at Hungaroring?
