F1 fans were left in a bit of shock when Charles Leclerc announced his split from his long-time girlfriend a few weeks ago. The couple was one of the fan-favorites and hence it broke the hearts of many after learning about their breakup. The duo has given fans plenty of memories to cherish. Don’t worry, she didn’t hit him physically. Sine collided with him while playing the F1 game on her simulator. While Charlotte was playing the virtual game on the simulator, Charles was live streaming her driving on his Twitch channel.

Sine was seen overtaking a few cars when before she forgot to put the brakes on and collided with the 4-time world champion. Leclerc couldn’t believe the sin his girlfriend had committed. “Oh no, Seb,” Leclerc groaned after his former girlfriend collided with Vettel in the game. He continued, “She put Seb out. No. We can’t do this. We can’t do this.”

Colliding with your teammate is often considered as the worst thing you can do in F1 racing. It was all fun though as the couple shared a good laugh on the incident and Sine went ahead to restart the game. Leclerc, on the other hand, continued to interact with his fans on his Twitch account.

After their unfortunate break-up, the Monegasque will hope to focus on challenging Max Verstappen for the title next year. However, he believes he won’t be the only one contesting for the same.

Charles Leclerc is certain that Mercedes will be back in the title hunt next season

Mercedes’ 8-year reign at the top of the WCC came to an end after a dismal campaign. Red Bull and Ferrari both worked out the new regulations like a charm to overtake the Silver Arrows in the standings. However, Charles Leclerc does not feel it will be the same case next season. The Monegasque believes that the Brackley-based outfit will come back stronger and F1 could be in for a 3-way fight for the championship.

He continued, “Another team? I haven’t seen signs yet maybe to believe that another team will join the top three, but Mercedes will definitely be there next year with a very strong car.”

He concluded by saying, “We’ve seen how much they’ve improved from the first race to the last race. I think they understood what they did wrong, and this is normally a sign that it will go better. So hopefully it will be a three-team fight next year.”
