Before the season began, McLaren‘s CEO, Zak Brown declared that they are not where they aimed to be. While this acceptance of failure caused a bit of unrest amongst the fans, nobody really thought that the team will see the talented Lando Norris making ‘ten thousand’ pit stops and double lapping from Max Verstappen at the curtain raiser itself. And the Papaya Army which has been a loyal tribe is now getting restless. And even the new state-of-the-art wind tunnel couldn’t create an impression.

One of the most iconic teams of Formula 1 history still has points to score with two races in. While the drivers have in the past admitted that their cars are peculiar and a bit tricky to drive, the new low that the 2023 season campaign brought out has shaken the fans. Recently, a glimpse of the upcoming wind tunnel was shared with the fan. But instead of instilling faith the developmental step has made them give the Woking outfit an ultimatum.

The wind tunnel which is projected to begin reaping benefits in June is an integral step in the “front of the grid” goal of the orange team. And while the world is yet to see what the team brings to Baku, they cannot place their complete trust in the team’s performance anymore.

Impatient Fans issue warning to McLaren

McLaren has been splurging millions as they have been using Toyota’s wind tunnel. However, in an aim to build one for themselves and built by themselves, their wind tunnel officially goes online in a few months. And ahead of it, the team took their drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris on a tour at McLaren Technology Center. However, the fans have hung a sword over their head saying there cannot be any more excuses now.

The main man, Norris himself commented on the said announcement.

While the driver seems excited, some fans’ eternal loyalty made them question the developmental pace of the Woking-based outfit.
