Formula 1 to Las Vegas? The Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren zooming through the posh streets of this Nevada city? This was only a dream until a few years ago. The most premium form of motorsport having their show in the Sin City could have just been shrugged off even at the start of the last decade. However, it has happened, and it’s going to stay for long. With the latest developments, F1 is here to stay, at least for the next ten years, and hence hopes to add billions of dollars to the Las Vegas economy.

As quoted by Fox 5 Vegas, F1, and Liberty Media stated, “Our current agreement for an annual race extends through 2025. That said, Formula 1 and Liberty Media have invested in Las Vegas with the purchase of the 39 acres of land, building a 250,000 square foot paddock building, and philanthropic efforts to support the local community.”

Making Las Vegas a permanent Grand Prix stop on the F1 calendar is our goal, and a 10-year approval provides us with the certainty that race weekend would be available on the calendar for the long term,” the statement further said. This means F1 is here to stay in Las Vegas until 2033, if the agreement is finalized.
