This race weekend Williams will be parting ways with George Russell, as the Brit will be joining Mercedes next season. However, one person who is sad to see Russell leave the Grove-based outfit is his Candian teammate, Nicholas Latifi.

The duo has been teammates since the 2020 season and has had a partnership of ups and downs. Now as the 2021 season comes to end, and with Russell leaving for the Silver Arrows, Latifi looks back at their time together and writes a heartfelt message.

 Latifi shares the moments he had with his first F1 teammate George Russell

The Williams duo has had some memorable moments together, but nothing can top the feeling they had when they scored double points. Now, as Russell gets ready for his final race, Latifi writes a touching message for the future Mercedes driver.

He wrote on Twitter while sharing a video of thier moments together, “Last race this weekend together with my favourite F1 teammate…I mean you’ve been the only one @GeorgeRussell63Many good memories with @WilliamsRacing along the way both on and off the track! Let’s have a good last one + seal our position in the constructors championship!”

Can the Grove-based outfit score some points in Abu Dhabi?

Last race weekend in Saudi Arabia,  Williams went home empty-handied. Now this weekend they get ready for the final race of the season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The team just has twenty-three points so far this year, seeing they have the capablities to grab points, they hope to do the same at the final venue of the F1 calender.
