Mercedes’ horrendous season is coming to an almost fairytale end. The Brackley outfit persisted, and after continued efforts and improvements, they finally have a win. Not just a win, the Mercedes men, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, brought home their first 1-2 of the season. Everyone is celebrating the Mercedes men, even Tom Brady.

Brady was experiencing a tough season himself before his last game. However, on Sunday, the 45-year-old made history in Bayern Munich, Germany. With a 21-16 victory against Seattle Seahawks, Brady became the first quarterback to win an NFL game in three different countries outside of the US. On the bounce, Brady celebrated his victory and his friends in the Mercedes garage.

Brady shared a photo on his Instagram of Hamilton and Russell running toward the crew to celebrate. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB wrote a message to go along with the photo he shared. The message said, “1-2! Never give up 👊” and tagged Hamilton, Russell, and the Mercedes Instagram page. This message, which is fundamental to Mercedes’s success, is something Brady would stand by himself.

After the poor start of the season, winning a race with a 1-2 is a massive achievement for Mercedes. The first win of the season for the Brackley outfit and the first of the career of their young British driver, George Russell.

The Silver Arrows will want to continue this incredible climb even for the last race of the season. The Abu Dhabi GP could be the last chance for Hamilton to preserve his ‘a-race-win-in-every-season’ record. However, every track brings a unique challenge and it will be interesting to see how the W13 performs in Abu Dhabi.

Will it be another win for Mercedes or more disappointment? Anything is possible in this rollercoaster of a season for the team. No matter what, they’re maintaining the “never give up” attitude.

Lewis Hamilton echoes the message from Tom Brady in his post-race interview

Hamilton almost crashed out of the race after his collision with Max Verstappen right after the safety car restart. However, Hamilton’s W13 survived the contact, and the Brit fought back to finish second.

“Honestly, I feel really good,” Hamilton told Sky Sports. “We’ve worked so hard this year. To be where we are, to be fighting for front row, to be fighting for podiums and to get a one-two, honestly I am elated for the whole team.”
