So to say that he would be under pressure would surely be an understatement. However, the Williams driver will be hoping to follow one of his heroes, Tom Brady, who is all about handling the pressure in big-game situations.

Tom Brady is an NFL Legend and an American icon. It is hard for people not to be inspired by the 45-year-old after everything that he’s done for the sport and has achieved personally. Amongst his many fanboys is William’s rookie Logan Sargeant. The American driver revealed how the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback inspired him to a career in F1.

The road to achieving success is not easy. You will have many doubters and critics along the way who will question your ability and talent. However, the way you respond to the critics makes all the difference.

Logan Sargeant impressed everyone with his driving in his rookie season in F2. Furthermore, he will become the first American driver to race in F1 for over 7 years now. The F2 rookie of the season explained how he hopes to emulate Tom Brady.

Sargeant revealed to F2.com, “He [Tom Brady] was doubted early in his career and wasn’t expected to be anything. Then he kept his head down, kept working hard and now comes out as one of the best-ever at the sport he plays (American football).”

“That inspires me because it doesn’t really matter at all what anyone else says because they’re not the ones putting in the work, they’re not the ones making the sacrifices. At the end of the day, you know how hard you’re working, and you know what you’re capable of, which no one else does. Always believe in yourself and keep going forwards.”

However, it’s not just Sargeant who will be looking to take Brady’s success route. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff also recently advised Lewis Hamilton to walk in his close friend’s footsteps.

Toto Wolff wants Lewis Hamilton to push the boundaries like Tom Brady

Lewis Hamilton has won almost everything in the Formula 1 world. The Silver Arrows legend has the most wins, podiums, world championships, and several other records. However, Toto Wolff wants the Briton to keep pushing the boundaries and keep competing beyond 40 like rival Fernando Alonso and his mate, Tom Brady.

Ahead of the Mexican GP on Sunday, as per SkySports, Wolff spoke to the press and explained what he expects from Lewis. The Austrian said, “You can see today’s athletes pushing the boundaries in terms of age. For me, Fernando is performing at a very high level and you look, for me, at the best athlete in the world – Tom Brady – on the field being tackled and throwing a ball at 45 years old.”

He further continued, “As long as you continue to look after yourself and your cognitive sensors, I think he has many more years in him. I’m pretty certain that’s going to be case here in the team.”
