After another year of grinding in the championship, Super Bowl finally arrived. Like each year, they put up a glamorous spectacle, getting pop queen Rihanna to perform during half-time. For some, it even overshadowed the hard-fought thriller between Philadelphia Eagles and Patrick Mahomes‘ Kansas City Chiefs. Lewis Hamilton‘s Mercedes F1 team found out the hard way.
The competition between the Eagles and the chiefs was a banger of a finale. The closely contested match ended in the Chiefs’ favor who won it 35-38. Before the thrilling end to the finale came Rihanna’s half-time performance, which was an absolute banger. So much so that it left even the likes of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson in awe of the Umbrella-famed superstar.

It is no secret how much of an American football fan Hamilton is. That became obvious when he bought an extravagant stake in Denver Broncos. Following the hype, his team Mercedes put out a post before the start of tonight’s finale.
Mercedes posted a mock locker room picture of Hamilton and George Russell’s football jerseys hanging with helmets and football kept underneath. Fans, however, were not really into it as either some just found American football boring or were there just for Rihanna’s much-anticipated performance.

Given how George outperformed his 7-time champion teammate in the 2022 season, one fan felt that the ball should have been under his jersey rather than Lewis’.
The ball should be with George https://t.co/fuWRnFuyHR

Another fan felt NFL was boring and would rather save their mornings to watch the Japanese GP that features pretty early in the day as well, depending on the region you live in.
Nope, it’s boring asf. Would rather get up early and watch F1 at Suzuka

We are sure it would have been worth their time if these fans would have actually watched the game. One of the closest finales ever witnessed for sure. Definitely up there.
