The Bahrain Grand Prix had fans on the edge of their seats with Charles Leclerc coming out as the winner in the end. The FIA has introduced technical changes in order to improve the overtaking potential and close the gap between the teams. Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc’s fight for the top spot served a treat to the fans. However, Haas’ impressive start to the season thrilled many, including NFL star JJ Watt.

JJ Watt acted as a fan this time and struggled to keep his emotions together as he tweeted with excitement. The Arizona Cardinals defender, like many, enjoyed a fruitful start to the season and will hope for more drama in the coming weeks.

What did JJ Watt tweet?

Ferrari and Mercedes finished at the top. However, the pack behind the Mercedes saw many surprise finishes. One of them was Haas, who entered the season grimly but started the season with a bang. Kevin Magnussen finished P5 as the American team finished in the points for the first time since 2020. They endured a miserable 2021 season. And on top of that, they had to start this season by ending Nikita Mazepin’s contract, along with the termination of their sponsorship with Uralkali.

JJ Watt was, in particular, happy and excited for Haas and their Team Principal Guenther Steiner because of their strong start to the season. However, things weren’t always this hunky-dory for the American Team. Netflix’s Drive to Survive captured Haas’ disappointing seasons where the fans could see Kevin Magnussen once lose his cool and smash Guenther Steiner’s door.

It was this very incident that led Watt to tweet, “Somebody get Guenther Steiner in front of a camera and inject it into my veins. KMag 5th and Mick 11th?!? Smash all the doors!”

JJ Watt was also happy with the outcome of the race as Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz completed a Ferrari 1-2. Leclerc’s battle with Verstappen was in particular a great start to the new era of F1. However, Lewis Hamilton completed the podium as he finished P3 with his teammate Russell finishing behind him. The Arizona Cardinals player also tweeted, “Race 1 did not disappoint. WOW.”

As Watt tweeted, the Bahrain GP did not disappoint the fans. Haas’ Kevin Magnussen revealed it felt like a win for the team after finishing P5. However, his teammate Schumacher missed out on points but still had a race to remember. The progress the car has made encouraged both the drivers.
