It has been a usual trajectory that has seen many drivers take the road often taken by jumping from the apex of motor sporting to other formats of motorsports. Contrastingly, F1’s 7x champ, Lewis Hamilton has no intentions of racing in other disciplines. However, a close friend from the NFL, Tom Brady, has taken up the challenge, which Lewis wasn’t eager upon. While Tom Brady is already a brand, his apparel brand Brand Brady has partnered with a sport that is not football. If you think this wordplay was hilarious, wait till you see Brady’s reaction on his first day of racing on a simulator.
Hertz Team JOTA, the new Hypercar motor racing team, has announced that its official apparel partner will be Brady’s brand, BRADY, and unveiled the Porsche 963 LMDh race car’s new Hertz Racing Gold livery. The team will be seen competing in the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and at the 100 edition of the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours. Brady in a video uploaded on his Twitter account said for him to be able to drive the real car he has to gather simulator hours. What followed is a shock-filled realization that the car is manual and more.
I plan on getting the real car out on the track as soon as the insurance folks stop paying attention. pic.twitter.com/1wlfkWta0J

Brady began on a high note, saying, “When you think Brady, you obviously think speed.” However, things soon went downhill when he began with the actual work. He was left shocked to realize an important intricacy of the car. He screamed, “Sh*t!! It’s manual?” Finally calming down he said, “… Everyone chill out. It’s my first day, alright?”
While the men who share 14 world titles between them from their respective sports took different routes for racing, the duo’s worlds are getting closer and it is not just on the Golf Course.
