Ricciardo has been an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills for the last few years. While he must have been pumped to see his team being a Super Bowl contender this season, the scenes in Cincinnati last night surely moved him.

Daniel tweeted in response to the Bills’ post showing the entire team praying for Hamlin’s recovery. The Aussie has been in constant activity, keeping note of all the updates on Hamlin’s condition as he posted “All the love and prayers.”

BBC reported that Hamlin collapsed after tackling the Bengals‘ receiver Tee Higgins. It seemed that Higgin’s helmet might have hit Damar in his chest. While he managed to stand up on his feet, he eventually fell on his back.

Damar Hamlin brings the focus to the Severe Dangers of the NFL

The commentators of the Bengals–Bills game cited how rare are game suspensions in the NFL due to an injury. But looking at the severity of Hamlin’s incident, it certainly puts a spotlight on the NFL players’ safety in a high-stakes physical game.

The NFL has taken a good stand to suspend the game as they agree on how Hamlin’s well-being and health are critical at the moment. The Monday Night Football clash was a big clash between the two strong contenders for this year’s Super Bowl. Despite that, the NFL is prioritizing monitoring the recovery of Damar Hamlin to a stable condition.

Thus, there is no update on when and how the Bills–Bengals game will be resumed. Still, the NFL will be looking into how they can reinforce player safety even more after this major incident.
