Esteban Ocon Openly Flaunts Taylor Swift Connection Days After Patrick Mahomes & Co.’s F1 Heist

F1’s recent trajectory in terms of the growth of the sport has been quite commendable. Not only has the sport gathered a worldwide audience. But recently, has managed to garner global stars to invest in Alpine. Esteban Ocon has since not shied from expressing his support for his new investor by rocking the dashing jersey of a popular athlete. Who also happens to be dating one of the most famous pop stars on the planet!

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Rory McIlroy are part of a group that recently invested in the Alpine F1 team. With the upcoming United States Grand Prix set to start soon. A lot of excitement surrounds the lovely race. Especially for Esteban Ocon and Alpine, who are already seeming to flaunt the Taylor Swift connection.

A few days before the United States Grand Prix 2023, Alpine announced investments from various star athletes, into their F1 team. Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce, particularly, are also one of those athletes who have invested in Alpine’s future. This is why Alpine and Esteban Ocon have taken no time in showing their love and support, by wearing the jersey of Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, found his name on the back of Ocon’s jersey. Amidst the preparation for the Austin Grand Prix, the Alpine driver was wearing Kelce’s jersey at the paddock. However, Alpine took no time in flaunting the Taylor Swift connection, on Twitter (now X).

Alpine uploaded the pictures of Ocon, which obviously caught a lot of traction from the fans. In their post, they left a subtle hint of the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce connection. The post was captioned, “…Ready for it?” Playfully hinting at Swift and Kelce, who have started dating each other. And quite possibly become one of the most famous couples on the internet, in 2023.

Moreover, the caption is a clear hint towards Swift’s song, ‘…Ready For It?’, which was released back in 2017. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Ocon happened to dislike Taylor Swift’s music? If I were him, I would keep that to myself!

But regardless, this certainly boosts him and Alpine towards garnering a new set of fandom. Don’t be surprised to see more posts like this, from their marketing team. Surely it wouldn’t hurt the French team if a bunch of ‘Swifties’ and NFL fans started supporting them. On top of the influx of fans from the other sports stars, besides the NFL investors.

Can Alpine finally be a title contender, with the new sport star investors?

It’s no secret that the 2023 F1 season has not been kind to the Alpine team. They currently sit in sixth place in the constructors’ championship with 90 points. With their car having numerous issues, and so far the driver lineup of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly not looking the best. This new investment is surely good news to their ears. This investment can help the team tackle the infamous reliability, downforce, and power issues of the car.

Simply put, in the upcoming 2024 or maybe 2025 season, Alpine can potentially compete for the title, providing they can deal with these issues. However, as far as the 2023 F1 season is concerned, it’s not looking good for them. With Guenther Steiner’s Haas donning a massive upgrade at the US GP. It’ll be interesting to see how the lower half of the grid ends up competing.
