Mercedes, recently also joined the long list with their former chief strategist James Vowles joining Williams. Now, according to rumors, this change has opened up a scenario for a new kind of rivalry between Mercedes and Red Bull.

Vowels’ move to Williams as the team principal has left a hole in the Mercedes’ strategic department. As per rumors, the Silver Arrows are looking to fill this position with Rosie Wait, an old member of the team.

Wait is been a vital member of the Brackley outfit for some time now as the head of race strategy. However, Wait has been on maternity leave since the 2021 Spanish Grand Prix. To jog your memory, the Spanish GP was a strategic masterclass that saw Lewis Hamilton take the top step of the podium.
