We’ve been blessed not only by the presence of Maxiel and Piarles, but by an even better bromance that is brewing in the paddock. And no, it doesn’t involve any new drivers but rather the bosses of Ferrari and Mercedes—Frederic Vasseur and Toto Wolff! Believe me, I am as shocked as you are. They are the talk of the town now!

Where did we get the first glimpses of it? Right after qualifying in Saudi Arabia, Toto Wolff appeared behind the Ferrari boss while he was giving an interview. It was a sight to behold that left the fans giggling, who also felt sad for Haas’ boss, Guenther Steiner, as he lost his buddy to Wolff.

Mercedes and Ferrari are on similar paths, as they are both chasing the Red Bull beasts. Both are going through severe pace issues in addition to other problems: Ferrari with reliability after Charles Leclerc’s power issues in Bahrain and Mercedes with their overall concept. Coming together such as these is indicative of increasing closeness between the teams through their bosses as they plan to take on Christian Horner. Who knows, they might allow Mike Krack to join them soon and form a formidable trio.

Ferrari and Mercedes bonding at peak

Fans have to thank the common rival and target of both teams, Red Bull, for bringing these two unlikely people together. This friendship is something we wanted but didn’t know we needed. It certainly brought a sigh of relaxation to an otherwise extremely tense sport.

Fans also joked by calling this a way for the Mercedes boss to convince his Ferrari counterpart to not go for Lewis Hamilton, as the rumors of a grid shake-up are making the rounds.
