A tumultuous start to the season took a hike as Charles Leclerc took his 19th career pole against the mighty Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. With just six points to his name and two DNFs, Leclerc’s worst start to a season in Ferrari colors could well be headed toward a revamp. Amidst all of this, as Max Verstappen continues to be in contention for the win, the fans have noticed a rather weird connection as the title of “King of Baku” still remains up for grabs.
Backing Charles for the championship, Tifosi believes this coincidence could be a lifesaver. But the only hindrance to the plan is Ferrari and its insufferable antics, which has cost Leclerc points over and over. So what is the coincidence in question? The coincidence with Max Verstappen in terms of the start to the season, as Leclerc, much like Verstappen in 2022, has had two DNFs in the first three races.
In 2022:
– Max Verstappen DNF'ed in the first and third races.
– Max Verstappen took pole in the fourth race.
– Max Verstappen went on to win the championship. In 2023:
– Charles Leclerc DNF'ed in the first and third races.
– Charles Leclerc took pole in the fourth race…

Moreover, the DNFs coming in Bahrain and Australia solidify their belief as they continue to hope for a massive season overhaul from Ferrari and Charles Leclerc. However, most of the fans, being realistic and true to their feelings, expressed utmost caution as the hope of winning this season appeared beyond their horizon.
Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen’s connection give Ferrari a reality check
Fans have no doubt in the abilities of their beloved Monegasque. For them, it is the team holding the progress back, as repeated strategic blunders, power failures, and massive tire degradation are still fresh in their minds. For them, the connection is absurd, as Ferrari doesn’t operate as well as Red Bull.
missed the part where max also won the 2nd race of 2022

?? = Max Verstappen went on to win the championship again

Don't do this to yourselves. One driver has a competent team, the other has Ferrari.

It does not work like that. To win a championship you need a car that doesn’t fail, a driver that doesn’t fail and a strategyst that doesn’t fail as much as ferrari does.
Good luck for next year! 🤗— mateo g (@gonzalezmattt) April 28, 2023
Ferrari car is not the fastest one. Ferrari strategy remains, as well tyres degradation and leclerc erros 🤦🏻♂️

Many Ferrari fans just asked the fans to tone down their hopes of winning the championship to first finishing and winning over a single weekend.

Yeah but Max is going to have to have some all-time bad luck for the rest of the way for Charles to have any shot

Lets start winning races before thinking that big

Slight difference being when max didn't DNF he won and that he had the best car that year.
Neither is true of CL

The road ahead is tough for the Tifosi and the driver’s fans. The connection seems to be giving them a little hope, but it won’t be enough until a win in both the sprint and the main race comes home to Maranello.
