What better way to spend a free weekend in America ahead of a race than to immerse oneself in one of the most popular sport’s in the country? Basketball is one of the most religiously followed sports in America and there’s good reason for it. The enthralling, quick, and high-scoring fixtures keep everyone glued on the edge of their seats for the entire match. During this weekend’s Los Angeles Lakers Vs Portland Trail Blazers, even Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon witnessed that alongside NBA royalty Dwayne Wade.

Lakers Vs Trail Blazers was an intense bout where both teams won two quarters each. However, in the end, the Lakers outscored the Trail Blazers with 6 points as the game finished at 116-110.

As revealed by the Instagram page f1gossippofficial, Ferrari man Charles Leclerc and Alpine man Esteban Ocon were also in attendance. The two are friends off the track and often spend time together and decide to watch the basketball match together. The two F1 stars were in attendance and were even photographed with ex-NBA star Dwayne Wade. The three were all smiles as they posed for a photo courtside.

In fact, this isn’t a random weekend activity for Leclerc. The Monegasque is an enthusiast and even showcased his skills with Pierre Gasly against the NBA stars.

Leclerc, Ocon, and Gasly, as a trio, have gone to some basketball games together and spent time off the track. However, when it comes to sharing a closer bond, Leclerc only has Gasly on the list.

?It is rare but it is possible. The only truly friendly relationship I have in the paddock is with Pierre. We have known each other for many years & shared many experiences. That has bonded us a lot,? confessed Leclerc last year.

He gave a testament to his statement when the two participated in a match against NBA legends, Joakim Noah and Tony Parker. The two are often seen playing paddleboard as well.
