The Mercedes star met with the late Queen Elizabeth II, in 2009 when he received MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). There, while meeting with her majesty, the Briton was said to have broken the royal protocol.

Talking about this, the seven-time world champion conveyed during The Graham Norton Show, “I got invited to a lunch and was sitting next to The Queen. ‘I was excited and started to talk to her but she said, pointing to my left, “No, you speak that way first and I’ll speak this way and then I’ll come back to you”.

NBA Legend LeBron James committed the same blunder as Lewis Hamilton

NBA legend LeBron James once found himself making the same mistake as the Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton. While meeting Prince and Princess of Wales Williams and Catherine, James placed an arm around her royalty.

It was initially regarded as a breach of protocol when pictures came out. However, Laura King, senior communications officer for Buckingham Palace, confirmed to the Northeast Ohio Media Group that it wasn’t the case. Citing the reason, when the Royal Family meets people, they want them to feel as comfortable as possible.
