When you?re on your way to Nevada for the Las Vegas GP, but there?s still time for the race weekend to start, why not take a detour to Nevada?s neighboring state, California? That?s precisely what Charles Leclerc and his girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mleux, did! When in the US, might as well just experience it for all its glory, right? What includes that glory? An NBA outing. More specifically, the LA Lakers hosting the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena. That?s where Leclerc and Alexandra were. But much to the Tifosi?s disappointment, their golden boy didn?t look too happy to be there.

Before getting to what happened on Sunday, you should know that this wasn?t Leclerc?s first NBA outing of the year. In January, basketball?s grandest show visited Paris, France. Leclerc, along with Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly (Leclerc?s best friend on the grid) and Esteban Ocon, watched the Chicago Bulls take on the Detroit Pistons. Throughout the match, the Monegasque looked like he was having the time of his life, laughing and enjoying the game with his driver friends. Considering that, you?d think he would?ve had a good time on Sunday, too. While that may have been the case, it sure didn?t look like that to his fans.

A photographer at the game captured Leclerc and Alexandra sitting hand in hand on court-level seats. The thing is, Leclerc looked like that was the last place he wanted to be in. What did his fans equate that to? The presence of his girlfriend. As many of them noted that Leclerc looked unhappy, some fans reasoned with him, saying that he has a ?resting sad face? (ouch! Leclerc wouldn?t really like hearing that, but at least it took the blame off Alexandra).?

Leclerc?s seeming ?unhappiness? wasn?t the only thing fans accused Alexandra of, though. As the Instagram handle @f1gossippofficial posted a few pictures of them, fans couldn?t help but target Alexandra. But many Tifosi came to her rescue, too!

Alexandra making Charles ?unhappy? was strike one during their NBA outing. In one of the pictures in the post, Leclerc is watching the game, while Alexandra is looking at her phone. That was strike two. Leclerc?s fans didn?t need a strike three to unleash their fury on Alexandra, calling her out for looking at her phone during the match and for being ?so full of herself.? While they did that, many others defended her.

Basketball isn?t a sport for everyone. Leclerc competes in a fast-paced sport. Basketball, with its fast-paced nature, appeals to him. It may not appeal to Alexandra. He may find it interesting, but she may find it boring. Who can blame her for looking at her phone then? ?tbh I would too basketball is boring af.?

Alexandra would be glad to know that she isn?t alone in her feelings toward the sport (if they?re even true). ?Because basketball is really boring ??

Since Leclerc and his ex-girlfriend Charlotte Sine broke up and he started dating Alexandra, Leclerc?s fans haven?t really warmed up to her. She?s been receiving a lot of criticism through no fault of her own. So it was almost predictable that she?d receive backlash for doing something as small as glancing at her phone during a basketball match. ?Came here for comments. ?Why is she holding her phone,? ?They look so boring,? ?I think Charles doesn?t love his girlfriend,? ?Is she studying or not? ?Why is she everywhere with him.??

If people actually invested in the sport, who play active roles in a team, can look at their phones, why can?t Alexandra? ?bc she can?? why do u care ?? even the team bosses check their phones at the games, get a grip.?

Even devoted fans do it. ?if even ppl who r truly interested in basketball check their phones why wouldn’t she who is simply invited there with Charles ??

Also, where is her right to freedom? ?She?s a self-living being, she can do whatever she wants, be supportive if Charles is seriously your favorite driver.?
