It is believed that after bad luck comes good fortune. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Lando Norris back in May 2022. After retiring from the 2022 Miami GP, Norris would’ve believed it was time for some good luck to follow him. But the Briton stayed back in the USA for some time and attended the 5th Game between Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns. However, bad luck followed the 23-year-old to the game, as he was almost arrested for something he did not intend to do.

Lando Norris somehow manages to play and watch various sports in his tightly squeezed calendar. The Briton loves playing golf and was recently pictured playing golf with Lewis Hamilton. The McLaren driver also supported the basketball team Phoenix Suns and was seen watching their game against Dallas Mavericks last year after the Miami Grand Prix. Norris recently revealed a funny story about this game on his Twitch channel.

McLaren scored a hefty 12 points at the Australian GP, all thanks to the crazy demolition derby towards the end of the race. However, Lando Norris was quite happy with the pace itself before the mayhem as well and explained how the MCL60 was able to match the pace of those around them like the Haas and AlphaTauri. He further added how they seemed to be quicker and more responsive, which encouraged him to have some fun and attack those in front.

According to Formula1.com, Lando Norris said, “For sure, our best weekend so far. All my comments and my feelings [after qualifying], I didn?t have my hopes too high, but actually since Lap 1 the pace compared to some of the cars around us ? like the AlphaTauri, like the Haas ? was a bit closer. I felt a little bit quicker, so I could race against them, I could actually have some fun, attack, and have a bit of racing action.”
