After the conclusion of the silly season, we saw a lot of surprising changes. F1 will have its first American driver on the grid since 2015, after Logan Sargeant scored enough points for a super license. The American will drive for Williams and the American NASCAR fans are already making a plea for Sargeant’s announcement.

Why do the NASCAR fans care? Well, firstly all American motorsport fans would like to see a driver represent the country on the grid. However, that isn’t the only reason NASCAR fans are interested in Logan Sargeant. The NASCAR fans are interested because of his elder brother Dalton Sargeant.

A little background, Dalton Sargeant is a professional stock car racing driver. In his latest venture, Dalton raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2018. As the name suggests, the truck series features driver racing in trucks. And it would be safe to say this series isn’t as prestigious as the Cup Series.

Now that Dalton’s younger brother, Logan, will drive in Formula 1, some NASCAR fans have a particular wish. The wish is to hear American introduced as, “Logan Sargeant, younger brother of former Truck Series driver Dalton Sargeant, to drive for Williams Racing.”

Such an introduction for the American might confuse the F1 fanbase. Although, we wouldn’t put it past Crofty or Kravitz if this information reaches their ear. Jokes aside, let’s hear what the newest F1 inductee had to say about his Williams announcement.
