You’d expect Formula 1 drivers to have an affinity for their cars, and that’s true. However, even more than that, these drivers sometimes have an affinity for a certain track. They just seem to come alive whilst driving the tracks that they feel a connection with, personally or otherwise. While 7x champion, Lewis Hamilton has mastered almost every racetrack he’s ever raced on during his illustrious career, one particular circuit has a special place in his heart.
The Brit has been quoted as naming the home of the British Grand Prix, Silverstone as his favorite track on the F1 calendar. While his nationality may have a part to play in it, the fast and flowing iconic piece of British racing heritage is surely a track to revel at. However, for ex-NASCAR star, Danica Patrick, it doesn’t ignite the same feelings as it does for the Silver Arrows’ talisman.

It’s been a while since Patrick donned her racing helmet on. When prodded to fantasize about the prospect of a farewell race, the 41-year-old was posed with a hard choice to make. And her answer was added validation for 2x champion, Max Verstappen.
On the most recent episode of the Sky Sports F1 Podcast, Patrick revealed the only European circuit on the F1 calendar she would like to experience a comeback on, and it wasn’t Silverstone. Rather, she went ahead with Verstappen’s favorite track instead.
She revealed, “I raced a Spa [Francorchamps] in a Formula Ford, so going up there in a Formula 1 car and going up the hill. I found it hard to go flat in a Formula Ford! I can’t imagine what it’s like in a Formula 1 car. It might be easy being flat going up the hill just from the downforce. That track is that I had experienced at such a low level of motorsport that it’d be pretty crazy to experience it [again].“
Hamilton himself has made a similar concession for the Dutch lion.
