With 14 race wins this season, and the most-ever points scored in F1, Max Verstappen has been on a record-breaking spree. Furthermore, he’s already won the F1 world championship twice at just 25 years old. Naturally, you’d think Max Verstappen would master driving in any sort of vehicle. However, the Red Bull driver gave an honest assessment of the NASCAR championship.

After brushing off a short challenge from Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, Max Verstappen cruised through the Mexican GP. Verstappen has been brutally dominant all season-long and won the championship with 4 races to spare.

Moreover, the Dutch Lion confessed about the prospect of racing in NASCAR racing in the future. The Red Bull driver gave an honest assessment of the question.

Verstappen said, “I do race a bit of let’s say NASCAR on my simulator at home and it’s completely different discipline. So, for us to get good at it, it would also take quite a bit of time.”

He further added, “It’s not easy, and, it’s the other way around for them as well. You know, to get good in a pod car or whatever. It also takes time. You need to really grow up with it.”

Verstappen will be looking to end the season with 16 wins in his bag. With only two races left in the season at Brazil and Abu Dhabi, the Red Bull driver currently looks unbeatable.

Fernando Alonso wants to team up with Max Verstappen at the virtual Le Mans 24 hours

2-time Le Mans winner Fernando Alonso has expressed his desire to team up with Max Verstappen in endurance racing events. Verstappen’s exposure to endurance racing is limited to the simulator. He previously raced at the Virtual Le Mans in January 2022, where he crashed out despite taking the lead in the event.

Verstappen has previously expressed his desire to race in other categories. Furthermore, he does not plan on remaining in F1 after a particular point in time.

The Alpine driver told De Telegraaf, “I know Max wants to do some endurance one day and I know he’d like to do the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”

The Spaniard further continued, “I’m certainly open to doing that together. I think we should give the idea a chance if we can drive for a competitive team.”
