Being part of the Red Bull driver academy can be a gift and a curse. The team does bring new talent to the grid but replaces them if they are not matching the expectations. Pierre Gasly was brought into Red Bull at the start of the 2019 season, but midway through the year, the Horner-led team replaced him with Alex Albon for the remainder of the season.

The French driver was back in AlphaTauri for the 19′, 20, and 21′ seasons. The 25-year-old will still be a part of the sister for next season as well but hasn’t given hope for joining the Milton-Keynes-based outfit in 2023.
