Two weeks ago, Lewis Hamilton teased a musical comeback via an Instagram story. He displayed his recording gear with blue night lights amplifying the beauty of a possible album release for his fans. The F1 star, known for his love for piano, has now opened up on his ‘vividly’ creative dreams that created his musical alter-ego ‘XNDA’.

“I struggle with anxiety” was Hamilton’s reasoning when he was asked about his Instagram Live session where he showcased his music to his fans in 2021. And three years later, we saw a man more confident in his ability to ace this performing art. Surprisingly, the Briton has revealed that the inspiration behind his creations comes while he is asleep.

“My mind is always moving,” Hamilton told GQ. “I have really, really vivid dreams, I have to wake up and write them down. I’ll have visions of something I’m designing. Or sometimes it’s music. Sometimes I have a song playing in my head. I’ll get up and go downstairs, play it on the piano, record it, and it becomes a part of something that I’m doing. Music keeps me alive,” the Briton says.

Charles Leclerc is the only other driver on the current grid alongside Hamilton to share the same passion for music. The Monegasque had 3 hit singles in 2023 –  AUS23 (1:1), MIA23 (1:2), and MON23 (1:3). Consequently, on the 15th of February, 2024, Leclerc announced his first international musical collaboration with French Icon Sofiane Pamart. Titled ‘Dreamers’, the album was loved across the globe.
