Motorsport is a very cruel sport. A gap of inches could be the difference between life and death. Every time a driver gets into the cockpit, he/she risks their life. In a tragic turn of events, an 18-year-old tragically passed away in treacherous conditions. The whole motorsport community is saddened by the accident. However, the public is blaming the FIA for the consequences of their actions. What did or didn’t the FIA do?
People started racing as soon as Automobiles were invented. The speed did not matter and it was all about the adrenaline rush. Since then the cars have developed a lot but the itch to seek the adrenaline hasn’t changed. However, sometimes this need for speed ends up taking one’s life. Despite the numerous precautions and changes to make motorsport safe, 100% safety can never be guaranteed. Another one of the drivers sadly died as a result of a speedy incident.
The FIA extends its condolences to the family and friends of Dilano van 't Hoff and to the MP Motorsport Team following the incident today during the Formula Regional European Championship event at Spa-Francorchampshttps://t.co/oG33Y2bpQo

Dilano Van’t Hoff passed away at the Spa Francorchamps track today. The fourth round of FRECA (Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine) was taking place in Belgium this weekend at Max Verstappen’s favorite track. The crash happened during the second race of the weekend toward the end. The conditions were treacherous, undrivable with rain pouring down. With massive spray from the car ahead, visibility was next to none. Unfortunately at the entrance of Kemmel Straight, multiple cars got involved in an accident and Hoff got T-Boned by Adam Fitzgerald.
Spa Francorchamps happens to be the same track that took the life of F2 driver Anthoine Hubert in 2019. We hope Dilano Van’t Hoff rests well with the Gods of Speed. Though, many questions are being raised against the FIA. Why wasn’t the race called off if the conditions were this treacherous? Fans took to Twitter to lash out their concerns against FIA.

Jules Bianchi passed away because of his incident at the 2014 Japanese GP when the marshalls were recovering a crashed car in treacherous condition and Bianchi slipped off the track and hit the recovery vehicle. While improvements have been made, there’s still a long way to go.
