The 2022 season saw new regulations make their debut. The cars are new and so are a lot of the driver line-ups on the grid. One of the most awaited driver pairings was that of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

The youngster made the switch from Williams to join the 7-time world champion at Mercedes.

A fresh pairing- Hamilton, and Russell

The whole f1 community had been patiently waiting for George Russell to make the step up to Mercedes after 3 years with Williams. This season was finally when he had the chance to join Lewis Hamilton at the Brackley outfit. Recently a post of the 2 has been going viral on the internet.

The fans have been going frenzy over the duo. One fan was head over heels for Lewis Hamilton.

Another fan wished them luck ahead of tomorrows Australian GP.

However, the Majority of them just wanted to see the duo surfing on the beaches of Australia.

Will we see the duo surfing the waves or collecting podiums? To know the answer, one has to wait for the race to unfold on the streets of Melbourne on Sunday.

Hamilton so far in 2022

The 7-time world champion has had a far from smooth start to life this season. Mercedes has been way off the pace of Ferrari and Red Bull. As a consequence Hamilton has been fighting in the midfield in the opening 2 races of the season. The season opener saw him pick up a podium due to a set of fortunate events which saw Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez both retire in the closing laps.

However, the weekend in Jeddah was disappointing. Hamilton did not make it past Q1 and would only finish P10 in the race. Although the results have been a mixed bag, they have not been up to the standards of Hamilton.

Australia has so far seen some resurgence from Hamilton and Mercedes. the Britton has qualified in 5th for tomorrow’s race.
