Not many can boast of a career as long and as glorious as Lewis Hamilton has had in F1. Going into his 17th year in the pinnacle of motorsport, the Briton will look to set the 8-time world championship win record. Regardless of whether he will be able to do it, he has done enough already to garner all the respect. To celebrate that spirit, F1 recently put out a post on their socials, showing the Mercedes star’s journey through the years. However, there were still a few who found ways to drag him through the mud.
Having equaled Michael Schumacher‘s 7 championship wins record, many felt Hamilton was ready to hang his helmet for good. However, the 2021 season saw him gun for glory once again. As that campaign ended in heartbreak, rumor mills once again started churning with the calls for him to retire. But clearly, there is some unfinished business for Hamilton. In an interview last year, he talked about feeling fitter than ever, looking to race for many more years.

Ever since stepping foot into F1, Hamilton took the world by storm. He matched his 2-time world champion teammate Fernando Alonso toe-to-toe. Moreover, he missed out on the world championship in his rookie season by just one point. The very next year, he won his maiden championship. In 2013, he made a switch from McLaren to Mercedes, a move that came under heavy scrutiny at that time. However, history speaks for itself as that move made him arguably the most successful driver in the sport’s history.
F1 shared one picture of his from each season, showing how his look has changed over these years on Instagram and Twitter. Have a look at some reactions the post got on Instagram.

It is often said that success is the best way to silence your critics. Lewis Hamilton’s case is an antithesis to that because a man can literally win more than 100 races and yet there will be some who will try to put him down.
