Citing overwhelming toxicity, Max Verstappen chose to stay away from social media as much as he can. However, ever since winning his back-to-back world championships, he is in a good mood. That has landed the Red Bull man in a TikTok trend he voluntarily participated in. The hilarious attempt left F1 fans on socials in splits and wondering if this was the same man they once knew.

Not too long ago, Max highlighted the lack of his social media footprint in an interview. He talked about why he does not feel comfortable putting his personal life out in public. While slamming people who “have nothing else to do all day”, he told that his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet is slowly drifting away from the activity as well.

After the conclusion of Red Bull’s recent 2023 livery launch event in New York, drivers Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez, and Max interacted with several RB personalities. Among them was their content creator, Elly.

Elly recently posted a short video on her Instagram with Max, performing a routine on Lola Brooke’s trending song ‘Don’t Play With It’. The six-second video was enough to throw F1 fans in a spin as the reigning champion was the last person from the current grid they expected to see participate in a TikTok trend.

Have a look at how F1 Twitter reacted to the post.

Some fans couldn’t fathom how Elly was able to convince Max to do the routine. It certainly is a mystery. Also, by the looks of it, the Dutchman seems to be enjoying performing.

And here are some reactions to the original Instagram post from Elly. Even 2020 and 2021 Formula 1 Esports champion Jarno Opmeer could not help but express how shocking it was for him. And knowing how big of a FIFA fan Max is, his reaction was perfect.
