Lewis Hamilton has broken almost every single record in Formula One. He is currently tied on seven world championships with Michael Schumacher; he has broken almost every record previously held by the former Ferrari driver. But other than the world championship record, there is one other record that the British driver can claim in the 2022 season.

Just like Michael, Lewis Hamilton has also enjoyed dominance in the sport with the same team. In 2022, the Mercedes driver would surpass the German’s record of driving in the most races with a single team.

I don’t even know what to say. You know when you grow up watching someone, you generally idolize them, really just in terms of the quality of the driver they are, but what they are able to continuously do year on year and race on race and week on week with their team,” said Hamilton on Schumacher.

“I remember playing Michael in a game called Grand Prix 2 I think it was. Just seeing his dominance for so long, I don’t think anyone, especially I, didn’t imagine that I’d be anywhere near Michael in terms of records. So it’s an incredible honor, and it’s going to take some time to get used to it,” said Lewis on equalling the records of Schumacher.
