Formula 1 driver streaming while on their simulator set up at home, more often than not, leads to something comically funny happening. Be it the Twitch Quartet, comprising Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Alex Albon, playing goat simulator, or Norris calling Carlos Sainz for racing tips, or even Max Verstappen renaming his cats Lewis and Toto. Almost every driver has a set-up at home they practice and stream on, and the latest addition to the ever-growing list of antics is Verstappen’s boyish giggles.

The two-time world champion, as Daniel Ricciardo says, is funny without trying to be funny. And his streams are usually laughter fests due to his quick wit, humor, and occasional rage. Although he’s vowed never to participate in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans race ever again, iRacing is something he loves and continues to do. And his most recent stream is what has everyone in splits.

Max Verstappen is “still a virgin”

People sometimes forget that Max Verstappen is just 25 years old, considering everything he’s already achieved, and is still a kid at heart. And this kid energy is what was featured in his stream. During it, one of his friends who he was playing with misspoke and said, “s*x.” While he was busy trying to justify why he said it—he read ‘sandals’ and ‘sox’ and mixed them—Max couldn’t stop giggling. 

What made this even funnier was that in an interview with Red Bull at the 2022 Belgian GP, he said, “I’m still a virgin,” and everyone burst out laughing, obviously not believing him. He struggled to keep a straight face even while saying it, which just proved his statement wrong. This statement, plus his reaction to hearing the word “s*x,” has given more reasons to everyone to pull his leg for his childishness.

But all said and done—being the focused racer he is—as soon as the giggles died down, he put on his game face and resumed racing. But while he did that, fans took to Twitter to fulfill their duty of pulling his leg.

Max Verstappen is “just a shy boy”

After the F1 community was introduced to this new generation of drivers who have given us a taste of their chaotic streams, it’s safe to say that they’re all children. Including Max Verstappen, who has currently left fans in splits with his latest giggle-fest after hearing the word “s*x.” One user called him shy for acting the way he did, covering his face from embarrassment.

Given he’s a 25-year-old, this reaction from his was out of the ordinary. And another user felt the same.

A lot of others called him a tween as well as a teen for acting the way he did.

One user even replied to one of these comments, saying that spending time with Daniel Ricciardo has made Max this way.
