Daniel Ricciardo’s chances for the 2024 seat are still hanging in the air. The 2023 performance will decide his future. Amid all of this, Lando Norris snubs Daniel Ricciardo after 12 months as he continues to show his support for GOAT Yuki Tsunoda to have a surprise shot at glory. What is this surprise shot at glory? Why is Tsunoda the Goat of F1? Let’s figure everything out.
As we all know, the smiling merchant of the F1 grid, Daniel Ricciardo, is back in F1. The Australian decided to take a break after 2 traumatic years at McLaren. There were significantly more lows than highs for Ricciardo during the Mclaren period. Probably the highest point at his time with Mclaren was the 2021 Monza Race win. Despite that 2021 win, Lando Norris snubbed Daniel Ricciardo in 2022.

In McLaren’s recent upload on YouTube, Lando Norris is asked the same question as last year’s interview with McLaren. When asked about the surprise winner, Lando Norris chose Yuki Tsunoda and called him a GOAT. In all of this, Norris snubbed his then-teammate Ricciardo, who had a surprise race at Monza. Norris justified his last year’s choice and said “There was no surprise winner. Maybe George if anything but in my eyes it wasn’t a surprise.” When asked about the Surprise winner in 2023, he said “I’m going to backup Yuki again.”
Lando Norris continues his support for the GOAT Yuki Tsunoda to have a surprise shot at victory this year. It’s not only that Norris chose Tsunoda again, but this time around Ricciardo wasn’t Norris’ teammate but Tsunoda’s teammate. However, it isn’t going to be easy for either Tsunoda or Ricciardo to win this year.

AlphaTauri brought some major upgrades to the AT 04 for the Silverstone upgrade. AlphaTauri has been near the back of the grid. The new upgrades were expected to work like magic. However, Yuki Tsunoda’s comments suggested otherwise as he explains that the car doesn’t feel a huge improvement over the last package.
According to Autosport, Yuki Tsunoda said “So far, we can’t see the results that we are improving massively. So far, it’s not looking good. The result is no good so far. We feel definitely a couple of gains in some places but some places we didn’t improve that we expected. So, we have to look through it deeply.”
