The Eurovision Malmö 2024 competition just finished yesterday and Nemo, the Swiss singer and rapper, brought home the prize. Now you may be wondering, what this has to do with F1, and the missing link here is Charles Leclerc. You see, Monaco withdrew from the Eurovision competition back in 2006, however, it was brought back last year in September and the announcement was made on X, to which Leclerc had an enthusiastic reply.

In this comment on the post, he mentioned that he was ready for the contest, and given his musical interests, fans were excited to see it happen. However the Eurovision competition has been concluded, and unfortunately, there were no signs of the Monegasque driver.

The fact that Leclerc commented on the post was a huge deal for the event and the fans. The original post was made on September 5th and Leclerc took a day to comment on it. He wrote, “I’m ready” and this made many believe that he would compete representing Monaco. However ultimately, Leclerc could not fulfill his fans’ expectations as he did not take part in the competition due to his F1 commitments.

Eurovision 2024 took place from May 7 to 11 during the weekend following the Miami Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc put in all he had in America as he finished 3rd on the podium behind Max Verstappen and race winner Lando Norris. Now we know that race weekends are hectic and drivers are always on a tight schedule during the entire race season. This made it difficult for him to be there at Malmö which is probably why we didn’t see the Ferrari driver.

Charles Leclerc is a pianist and many know that by now, but what even we did not know before his comments is that he is a singer too. While there are clips of him singing online, there is nothing on a serious note. Although Charles Leclerc did not make it for Malmö, he did have an interview with Motorsport, where things got a little revealing.

After an interview with Motorsport.com, the Ferrari drivers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, engaged in some light-hearted banter about their attire. They found themselves amusingly debating whether to keep their new blue shirts buttoned up or unbuttoned. Sainz jokingly asked Leclerc if it was okay to go shirtless on camera, to which Leclerc humorously responded that he needed to get permission from his girlfriend first.

Sainz then revealed that he was wearing a plain white t-shirt underneath his Ferrari blue shirt, giving him the option to unbutton it. Sainz jokingly asked Leclerc, “Are you sure you’re allowed to be shirtless?” To this, Leclerc responded saying that he’d have to check with his girlfriend but that he believed she’d be fine with it.

The banter continued as Sainz playfully threatened to report Leclerc to his girlfriend if he showed too much skin. Leclerc jokingly acknowledged that Sainz had already made the report. Leclerc and Sainz are spending their last season together. Their duo has always been one of the most happy and playful ones and next year, Leclerc will be paired with Lewis Hamilton.

Do you think he will take vocal lessons from Hamilton and possibly do the Eurovision competition next year?
