Who doesn’t love a good game of Monopoly? A staple at family game nights, which probably leads to absolute wars. Well, be it fights or fun, either way, we have news for Formula 1 enthusiasts all around the world. One legendary circuit is set to get its very own monopoly.

To celebrate commemorate 100 years of racing at the legendary track, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps released its edition of monopoly.

The fans can choose between racing over the 7km version of the track, passing through Eau Rouge and Raidillon, or they could go along the old 14km long layout of the track.

The 4 famous corners of the circuit replace the train station. The usual iron and hat have been replaced by a car wheel and trophy. The players will have to set up grandstands instead of houses and hotels. Moreover, players would be able to purchase all the corners and facilities of the iconic track.

Fans can purchase the limited-edition game from the fan shop at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at the beginning of the season, or they can subsequently purchase it online.

Formula 1 at Spa Francorchamps

The circuit was inaugurated in 1921 and this year marked 100 years of its completion. It hosted its first-ever Grand Prix in 1925 and is the current venue of the Belgian Grand Prix. In addition to F1, the circuit also hosts 24 Hours of Spa and World Endurance Championship-6 hours of Spa. It is also the circuit that hosts one of the longest races in the world, the Uniroyal Fun Cup.

The circuit passes through the Ardennes forests and is one of the most iconic tracks on the F1 calendar. On the other hand, it is also one of the most dangerous tracks to host races. The legendary circuit will undergo some major revisions in the foreseeable future to make it safer for racing.

Last season, fans were surely disappointed as they didn’t get to see much racing action on the track. After a few laps behind the safety car, the race was eventually stopped due to the bad weather conditions. As a result, fans all over the world are now much more eager to witness the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix.
