Everyone’s belief that the 2021 Formula 1 season ended in Abu Dhabi was proven wrong. Of course, a season as spicy and controversial as 2021 needed one more drama before oozing off for the last time. And the drama was the revelation of the cost cap breach by championship winner Max Verstappen’s team. The team refuted the charges, as they claimed they didn’t know catering was a part of the budget as well. Red Bull was anyway fined $7 million, which they’d have happily paid.
Now, two rounds into this season, the team appears to have taken caution already. Attempting to curb its food and beverages budget, the team seems to have ditched its former luxurious catering for American pizza giant Domino’s! Addressed to “redbuul racing” for garages 1 and 2 of Albert Park, Melbourne, a receipt from a branch of the pizza place was shared on social media, thanks to which the fans had a good day.
The expenditure, which was nearly $1.7 million, seems to be sliding downward already as they keep an eye on their numbers. Fans were left puzzled about how the team would cope with the taste after tasting private catering. Whereas others joked about whether they used the coupons or not for the roughly $15 pizza.

Max Verstappen and team are conscious of food
The entire episode in 2022 of the Red Bull cost cap breach was hilarious. Christian Horner accepted the error with grace, but the drama that unfolded was a sight to behold as fans urged the FIA to strip Max Verstappen of his championship title. Hence, extra caution must be advised to everyone. And only staple foods such as pizza seem must be left on the top options on the menu for Red Bull’s staff.
I hope that's within the budget.

After their financial breach they've had to downgrade the catering;)

Dominoes really shows how they’ve had to cut back after the cost cap controversy.

It’s cool! They used a coupon and got the two medium pizzas free side!

Several fans also joked about how it was definitely Red Bull’s third driver, the beloved Australian Daniel Ricciardo, who placed the order for “redbuul racing”. This “typo” certainly reminded us of the “Pierre Gaslyyyy and Daniel Ricciardoooo.”
Reading the address I can hear Danny Ric ordering via phone: Yes, mate…Red Buuuuuul

No more private catering, I see. Gotta stay under the cap. I wonder if this is what brings RB down.

Red Bull was the first guilty party of the cost cap breach. Despite a punishment not as harsh as expected, they wouldn’t want to repeat it. If something happens otherwise, fans joked that collecting the receipts should make a strong case for them.
