The Schumacher family is one of the most significant ones in F1. With the 7 world titles of Michael Schumacher, every name and story associated with the Schumacher name just beams differently. Michael’s legacy has also put a different spotlight on his son Mick Schumacher. Despite being out of an F1 seat right now, Mick has been a revered young talent in his lead-up to F1. Though, his childhood days have been quite normal with some good fun memories.

The former FIA president Jean Todt once shared such an anecdote about Mick’s childhood days. Speaking to RTL news in an interview, Todt spoke about how he used to watch races with Michael back in the day. Meanwhile, he also touched upon his memories of young Mick and his partner Michelle Yeoh’s unknown bond and relationship.

Jean said, “I’ve known Mick [Schumacher] since he was born. He’s closer to my wife than I am.” [translated via Google] The former Ferrari boss revealed how his partner since 2004 Michelle, now 60, used to await playing with young Mick. He added, “Michelle and Mick ran after the chickens together.”

Even though Michael is unconscious today, Jean Todt often visits him. the Frenchman has cited in the past how Mick, his mother Corinna, and the entire Schumacher family are a part of his family.

While Mick is out of a full-time drive for now, the young German has followed his father’s steps to join Mercedes. Despite a reserve role, Mick may get a lot out of his time at Brackley. Being there may help him perhaps with a better career progression.
