The seven-time world champion, Michael Schumacher, donned the F1 grid for over a decade, and eventually ended his successful career with fans in the backdrop hailing him as a legend. Subsequent to his mountainous F1 outing, the German has been a massive influence on the life of his son, Mick Schumacher.
The young German, standing on the doorsteps of F1, is all set to enter the world in a month’s time, and he couldn’t thank his father enough.

In a recent social media post by F1, the followers were asked to reveal their F1 childhood hero. “My childhood F1 hero was…,” the statement read.
Surprisingly, there was Mick in the comments section revealing his hero. Unsurprisingly, it was Michael Schumacher. The Haas driver replied with two strong words. “My Dad,” he wrote.
Looking back at Michael’s career, there have been quite a lot of instances where the world-famous F1 driver posed alongside baby Mick on the track. It doesn’t stop there, as F1’s recent social media post portrayed a much bigger goal running inside Michael’s head regarding his son’s future.

And now, his wishes have come alive, though he isn’t in a shape to watch his son carry the mantle he once dropped years back. But of course, considering the recent rumors regarding his health recovery, let’s hope that Michael soon gets to watch his son racing from the trackside.
Will Mick reach his father’s heights in F1?
Mick has been one of the quietest F1 drivers on the grid, despite being a record-holding world champion’s son and a Ferrari-favorite driver.
The 2020 F2 title-winner has one goal in his mind, which is to win an F1 title while racing for the Reds.
But how practical is it?
Well, this particular scenario is very much plausible.
Ferrari have been keeping a close watch over Mick‘s path to F1 and are looking pretty interested to consider the German as their future driver. Apart from that, Ferrari are still recovering from a massive downfall in 2020.

However, the good news is they don’t have to worry much about their future, as F1’s upcoming regulation means that the teams have to build an entirely new car for the 2022 season and beyond. Hence, Ferrari’s future is still looking quite bright.
Overall, things are consolidating pretty well for Mick. And if he sustains his successful F2 outing into F1, Mick getting his hands onto the Ferrari car will be imminent.
