After a happening Japanese Grand Prix, F1 travels to the other side of the globe. As everyone is about to arrive at the home race for the Haas F1 team, they are expected to make two big announcements. One is expected to be about their second driver while another is to be about their brand-new sponsor.
According to a British journalist, Joe Saward Haas is expected to make these announcements ahead of the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas. Saward penned down in his latest blog, “The second Haas [driver], which will probably be announced in Austin, where Haas has a big event planned to reveal a new sponsor.”
The American team had major changes in both the driver lineup and their sponsorship amid the Russia-Ukraine fallout earlier this year. Haas parted ways with Russian sponsor Uralkali as well as replaced Nikita Mazepin with Kevin Magnussen to drive alongside Mick Schumacher.

Despite everything, if the Kannapolis-based team decides to sack the 23-year-old driver, some names could come forward as potential replacements. While McLaren man Daniel Ricciardo does not look to be a name suitable for the scenario, former Alfa Romeo driver Antonio Giovinazzi could be an interesting option.
Moreover, Schumacher’s compatriot Nico Hulkenberg can also be regarded as an option as the German comes with a lot of experience. Currently, Hulkenberg is with Aston Martin as their reserve driver.
