However, a top F1 personality thinks Schumacher Jr. has a “work ethic” like that of his legendary father and that is “crucial” for improvements in F1.

Not forced to live by his father’s legacy, Schumacher Jr. wants his own identity as he’s here because of his love for the sport. However, he could not run far from it as Ross Brawn compared him with his father, Michael Schumacher.
The Haas driver would’ve wanted a bit more success in his second year at the American F1 team. The German driver is currently struggling to keep up with the demands posed on him by Haas and, as a result, they’re assessing his future on the American team.
Amid all this, Ross Brawn has injected hope by comparing Schumacher Jr.’s seriousness with his father. In conversation with F1 Insider, Brawn stated, “It takes Mick a little longer, but in the end, he also won the titles in the junior classes.”

Moreover, Mick Schumacher failed to pick up any points in the entire 2021 season. The Haas driver finished in P19 with zero points after 22 races, ahead of his then-teammate Nikita Mazepin.

With that said, the chances of Mick Schumacher being retained by Haas is 50-50 as shared by team boss Guenther Steiner. Moreover, the German driver still doesn’t have any offer in hand for the next season. It’ll be interesting to see if Schumacher Jr. manages to fetch himself a seat for 2023.
